Our organization is fortunate to have a team of proactive volunteer members who are integral to our success. These members contribute in numerous ways, including through membership fees, promoting our organization, assisting with fundraising efforts, offering innovative ideas, identifying potential donors, and even leveraging their professional expertise to support our projects. We are grateful for their unwavering commitment and dedication to our cause.

Hailemichael Wasye

Co-founder, Senior Volunteer, previous Board Chairperson

Dr. Hailemichael Wasye is a highly experienced medical doctor who has volunteered extensively at local, national, and international medical associations. He has held various positions at the Ethiopian Medical Students Association-Bahir Dar, including Vice Director of Charity, Project Coordinator, and COVID-19 Emergency Response Team Coordinator. He also served as the East African Regional Coordinator for the Federation of African Medical Students Association (FAMSA) in 2020/2021 and as the National Director of SCHE. Additionally, he was the Vice President of the Student Union at Bahir Dar University College of Medicine and Health Science. Currently, he serves as the medical director of Kamash Primary Hospital and is the Co-Founder and Board Chairperson of a community-boosting organization since September 28, 2020.

Jerusalem Kefale

senior volunteer, Previous vice general manager and finance head

Miss Jerusalem Kefale is a psychiatric professional who has worked as vice general manager and finance head of Community Boosting Organization (CBO) from January 2021 to June 2022. After that, she worked as a psychiatric professional at Good Samartha Organization and Amhara Public Health Institution for 9 months each. Currently, she serves as CBO’s senior volunteer and counsellor at the Center for Victims of Torture.

Alemayehu L. Duga

Proactive Volunteer member

Dr. Alemayehu L. Duga is a pharmacy professional and PhD candidate in Pharmacovigilance and Pharmacoepidemiology. He has extensive experience in pharmaceutical system strengthening, academia, and pharmacovigilance at all levels. He has worked as a Pharmacovigilance E-learning Consultant, Pharmacovigilance Auditor, patient safety technical advisor, and Pharmacovigilance Coordinator and Principal Technical Advisor. Currently, he serves as Senior Pharmacovigilance Technical Officer of Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention.

Yonas G. Hagos

Mr. Yonas G. Hagos is a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Texas, NC, TN, and GA and a Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 13 years of progressive professional experience managing water and wastewater projects. Through these years, He grew his technical, project management, communication, and people leadership skills.

Degu Daniel

Proactive Volunteer member

Degu Daniel graduated from Bonga University's Department of Agribusiness and Value Chain Management with a CGPA of 3.95 and passed the university exit exam with a high score. He obtained a gold medal award from the University for his top score. His passion is building well-developed value chains to ensure a prosperous, food-secure, and economically sound society.

Dawit Yirdaw

Proactive Volunteer member

Dawit Yirdaw graduated from Samara University with a BSc degree in Computer Science with a CGPA of 3.57, and he passed the National University exit exam by working 62%. As a computer science graduate, his passion lies in creating innovative web and mobile applications.
